General Questions

What is Awardee?

Awardee is a customer feedback and engagement platform that helps businesses collect feedback, provide AI-powered customer support, and manage customer interactions across multiple locations. It combines QR code-enabled tools with info pages, AI assistants, and smart feedback routing.

How do customers access my tools?

  • Scanning QR codes you've placed in your location

  • Clicking direct links you share via email, SMS, or social media

  • Accessing links from your website or other digital channels

Do customers need to download an app?

No. Awardee tools work directly in any web browser on phones, tablets, or computers. Customers simply scan the QR code or click the link.

Can I use Awardee for multiple locations?

Yes. Awardee is designed for multi-location businesses. Each location has its own dashboard, tools, and settings. You can easily switch between locations using the location switcher.

Tools and Features

What's the difference between a tool and a location?

  • Location: Your business location with its own settings, branding, and tools

  • Tool: A customer-facing resource (QR code + link) that can include an info page, AI assistant, and feedback collection

Each location can have multiple tools for different purposes.

Can I have multiple tools per location?

  • One tool for table-side feedback in a restaurant

  • Another tool for product information

  • A third for general customer support

What modules can a tool include?

  • Info Page: Links, files, and articles for customers

  • AI Assistant: AI-powered chatbot for customer questions

  • Feedback Collection: Always enabled, routes feedback based on ratings

Can I customize the AI Assistant's personality?

Yes. You can define the AI's personality, tone, and communication style in the AI Assistant settings. Provide specific instructions about how you want the AI to interact with customers.

How does feedback routing work?

You choose one of two options per tool:

Private Thank You Page: All feedback comes to your dashboard privately.

  • Happy customers (based on star threshold you set) are sent to Google or a custom URL

  • Unhappy customers submit private feedback to your dashboard

  • This helps you get public reviews from happy customers while handling issues privately

Can I change feedback routing after creating a tool?

Yes. You can edit tool settings at any time to change feedback routing, star thresholds, and destinations.

Pricing and Billing

How is pricing structured?

What happens when I add a new location?

  • Your subscription is automatically updated

  • You're charged on a pro-rata basis for the remainder of your billing period

  • The next billing cycle includes the full cost for all locations

What is pro-rata billing?

Pro-rata billing means you only pay for the portion of the billing period remaining when you add a location. For example, if you add a location halfway through your monthly cycle, you'll be charged approximately half the monthly cost for that location.

Can I remove a location to reduce costs?

Yes. You can delete locations you no longer need. Your subscription will be adjusted accordingly. Note that deleting a location is permanent and removes all associated data.

What payment methods are accepted?

Can I get a refund if I delete a location?

QR Codes

What format should I use for printing QR codes?

  • PDF: Best for most printing needs

  • EPS: Best for professional design work and large-scale printing

  • PNG: Best for digital displays and web use

How large should QR codes be?

Minimum 2cm x 2cm (approximately 0.8 x 0.8 inches) for reliable scanning. Larger is better, especially for codes that will be scanned from a distance.

Can I customize the QR code design?

NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Whether QR codes can be customized with colors, logos, or branding.

Do QR codes expire?

No. QR codes remain active as long as the tool exists. If you delete a tool or location, the QR code will stop working.

Can I reuse a QR code for a different tool?

No. Each QR code is unique to its tool. If you need a different tool, create a new one with its own QR code.

Info Pages

How many links can I add to an info page?

What file types can I upload?

Can customers download files from my info page?

Yes. When you add a file link, customers can click to download or view the file.

Can I password-protect info pages?

AI Assistant

How does the AI Assistant learn about my business?

  • Contact details you provide (phone, email, address)

  • Personality instructions you define

  • Information from your info page links and articles

Can the AI Assistant handle multiple languages?

What happens if the AI doesn't know an answer?

Can I see what customers are asking the AI?

Yes. Go to the AI Chats page to view all conversations. This helps you understand customer needs and improve your AI's responses.

Feedback Management

Who receives feedback notifications?

Alert contacts you configure for each tool receive notifications via email and/or SMS based on their preferences.

Can I export feedback data?

How long is feedback history retained?

NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Feedback retention period and archiving policies.

Can customers edit or delete their feedback?

NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Whether customers can modify submitted feedback.

Location Types

What's the difference between Standard and Accommodation location types?

Standard Location: For retail, professional services, offices, and businesses without overnight lodging.

Accommodation: For hotels, motels, hostels, and businesses providing overnight guest lodging.

Choose the type that best matches your primary business service.

Can I change location type after creation?

Security and Privacy

Is customer data secure?

Who can see customer feedback?

Only users with access to your Awardee account and the specific location can view feedback. Feedback is private unless customers are routed to public review sites.

Can I control who has access to my locations?

What happens to data if I delete my account?

All data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. This includes all locations, tools, feedback, and AI chat history.

Technical Requirements

What browsers are supported?

Yes. Awardee is fully responsive and works on phones, tablets, and computers. Customer-facing tools are optimized for mobile use.

Do I need technical skills to use Awardee?

Can I integrate Awardee with other tools?

How long does setup take?

Can I test tools before sharing with customers?

Yes. Use the "View Tool" button to preview how customers will see your tool. Test all features before distributing QR codes.
