Common Mistakes

Wrong format for use case: Use PDF for printing, PNG for digital screens, and EPS for professional design work.

Not testing before sharing: Always click "View Tool" to test the customer experience before distributing QR codes.

Sharing wrong tool link: Verify you're in the correct tool before copying the link.

Best Practices

For Printed Materials

Use PDF or EPS: These formats maintain quality when printed at any size.

Test scanning: Print a test QR code and scan it with multiple devices to ensure it works.

Size matters: Make QR codes large enough to scan easily (minimum 2cm x 2cm recommended).

Add context: Include text near the QR code explaining what customers will get (e.g., "Scan for instant help").

For Digital Use

Use PNG: PNG format works well for websites, emails, and digital displays.

High contrast: Ensure QR codes have good contrast with their background for easy scanning.

Mobile-friendly: Remember that customers will likely scan with their phones, so test on mobile devices.

For Social Media

Use the tool link: Share the direct link in social media posts, bios, and messages.

Shorten if needed: NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Whether Awardee provides shortened URLs.

Track usage: NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Whether analytics are available for tool views and scans.
