Adding Your First Location

Learn how to add a new location to your Awardee account and configure its basic settings.

Who is this for?

Account owners and administrators who need to add new business locations to their account.

Prerequisites

  • An active Awardee account

  • NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Required permissions level to add locations

What you'll need

  • Location name

  • Website URL

  • Industry type

  • Physical address

  • Location logo (recommended size: 500 x 500 pixels in PNG, JPEG, or WebP format)

  • Brand colors for the location

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access the Location Switcher

  1. Look at the top left of the navbar

  2. Click on the location switcher

  3. A popover will appear showing all your existing locations

2. Start Adding a New Location

  1. In the location switcher popover, click Add Location

  2. The location setup wizard will open

3. Enter Basic Information

  1. Enter your Location Name

  2. Enter your Website URL

  3. Select your Industry from the dropdown menu

  4. Click Next

4. Add Your Address

  1. Type your complete business address in the address field

  2. Click Next

5. Upload Logo and Choose Colors

  1. Click Upload to upload your location logo

  2. Choose your brand colors by clicking on each color selector

  3. Click Next

6. Select Location Type

Choose the location type that best describes your business:

  • Best for retail, professional services, and corporate headquarters

  • Operates as a storefront, office, or service base

  • Focuses on staff, professional services, or retail products

  • No overnight guest lodging

  • Best for hospitality businesses providing guest lodging and short-term stays

  • Provides rooms, beds, or suites for overnight guests

  • Includes hotels, motels, hostels, and serviced apartments

  • For locations where the primary service is overnight lodging

Select the appropriate option and click Next

7. Confirm Pricing and Create

  1. Review the pricing information displayed

  2. Note: Your subscription will be updated and you will be charged on a pro-rata basis based on how far you are into your current subscription period

  3. Click Create Location to finalize

Expected Result

  • Your new location will be created and added to your account

  • Your subscription will be automatically updated

  • You will be charged the pro-rata amount for the remainder of your billing period

  • The new location will appear in your location switcher

  • You can now start configuring the location's settings and creating tools

Common Mistakes

Missing required fields: Make sure all fields in each step are completed before clicking Next.

Wrong logo format or size: Use PNG, JPEG, or WebP format at 500 x 500 pixels for best results.

Selecting wrong location type: Choose "Standard Location" for most businesses. Only choose "Accommodation" if your primary service is overnight guest lodging.

Troubleshooting

Can't upload logo: Ensure your image file is in PNG, JPEG, or WebP format and doesn't exceed the file size limit.

Address not recognized: Try entering the address in different formats or components (street, city, state, postal code).

Pricing not showing: NEEDS CONFIRMATION: What to do if pricing doesn't display.
