Managing Account Settings

Learn how to update your personal profile, change your password, and manage company settings.

Who is this for?

All users who need to update their account information and preferences.

Prerequisites

  • Active Awardee account

  • Access to account settings

What you can manage

  • Profile picture

  • First and last name

  • Email address

  • Password

  • Company name

  • Company address

  • Company ABN

  • Company phone number

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access Account Settings

  1. Hover over your profile picture in the top navigation area

  2. Click Account from the dropdown menu

2. Edit Your Profile

In the profile section:

  1. Click Edit Profile

  2. The profile editing form will appear

#### Update Profile Picture

  1. Click on the profile picture area

  2. Select a new image from your device

  3. NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Accepted image formats and size limits

#### Update Name

  1. Edit the First Name field

  2. Edit the Last Name field

#### Update Email

  1. Edit the Email field

  2. Enter your new email address

  3. NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Whether email verification is required

#### Save Profile Changes

  1. After making changes, click Save or Save Changes

  2. Wait for the confirmation message

3. Change Your Password

  1. In the account settings, find the password section

  2. Click Change Password

  3. A password change form will appear

#### Enter Password Details

  1. Enter your Current Password

  2. Enter your New Password

  3. Confirm your New Password

  4. NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Password requirements (length, complexity, etc.)

#### Save New Password

  1. Click Save or Update Password

  2. Wait for the confirmation message

  3. NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Whether you'll be logged out after password change

4. Edit Company Settings

  1. Scroll to the Company Settings section

  2. Click Edit Settings in this section

#### Update Company Information

  1. Edit the Name field with your company name

  1. Edit the Address field with your company address

  1. Edit the ABN field with your Australian Business Number

  1. Edit the Phone field with your company phone number

#### Save Company Settings

  1. After updating company information, click Save Changes

  2. Wait for the confirmation message

Expected Result

  • Your profile information is updated across the platform

  • Password changes take effect immediately

  • Company information is updated for billing and records

  • Changes are reflected in your account immediately

Common Mistakes

Not saving changes: Always click the Save button after making edits.

Weak password: Use a strong password with a mix of characters. NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Specific password requirements.

Invalid email format: Ensure email addresses are properly formatted.

Incomplete company details: Fill in all company fields for complete records.

Wrong ABN format: NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Required ABN format.

Troubleshooting

Changes not saving: Ensure all required fields are filled correctly and try again.

Can't change email: NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Whether there are restrictions on email changes.

Password change failed: Verify your current password is correct and new password meets requirements.

Profile picture not uploading: Check file size and format. Try a different image.

Can't access account settings: Ensure you're logged in and click on your profile picture.

Security Best Practices

Password Security

Use strong passwords: Include uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters.

Unique passwords: Don't reuse passwords from other accounts.

Regular updates: Change your password periodically.

Don't share: Never share your password with others.

Account Security

Verify email changes: If you receive unexpected email change notifications, secure your account immediately.

Monitor activity: NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Whether there's an activity log or login history.

Secure devices: Only access your account from secure, trusted devices.

Log out: Always log out when using shared computers.

Profile Picture Guidelines

Professional image: Use a clear, professional photo.

Appropriate size: NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Recommended dimensions and file size.

Accepted formats: NEEDS CONFIRMATION: Accepted image formats (PNG, JPEG, etc.).

Clear visibility: Ensure your face is clearly visible if using a personal photo.
